Introduction
The idea for this project originally came from Before and After’s Design a Showroom-Style Presentation. Essentially the idea of the project is to shoot a sequential series of ten photos that have two subjects in each. The part that makes it sequential is that the primary subject of one photo becomes the secondary subject in the next frame. And so on. Check out the example to get the idea (there are also more examples at the bottom of this page).

Important Considerations
- This project is designed for you to work on a couple of very important photographic techniques: deep depth of field, shooting indoors without a flash, and composition.
- Because of the low quantity and quality of light inside the school, and relatively small apertures, a tripod will be absolutely essential. Whenever possible, we want to use lower ISO’s to eliminate as much digital noise as possible. Aim for an ISO of 400 or lower.
- Your shutter speeds are going to be quite slow (probably longer than a second) so you’ll have to make sure you give instructions to your models and remind them to stay as still as possible during the shot.
- I’ll leave the option of shallow or deep depth of field up to you. All I ask is that it is clear to your audience the sequencing of your subjects from shot to shot. REMEMBER: if you are using small apertures (deep depth of field), you’ll need to focus about a 1/3 of the way into the scene (not on the primary or secondary subjects).
To Do:
Submit a sequence of ten images. Your first image may consist of a single person/object. Create a webpage showing your product and a write up around your project.
